it's me again. At the beginning of the installation I had chosen "orcl" as database name (the SID which the installer proposed), but orarun had set ORACLE_SID in etc/profile.d/oracle.sh to "mydb". That's also the reason why I could not startup the database. After changing the SID from "mydb" to "orcl" I can start it at the shell terminal or with Enterprise Manager. But the database didn't start automatically at boot time although the needed parameters in etc/sysconfig/oracle are set.
The following error occurred: ORA-12505 (See ORA-12505.ora-code.com): TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor (DBD ERROR: OCIServerAttach)
Could the different SIDs during the installation caused that error?
